Pet parents often face a variety of struggles, from finding the perfect pet sitter to ensuring their pet is in safe hands. Additionally, pet parents often worry about their pet’s safety and well-being while away, and may struggle to find a pet sitter who is capable of handling their pet’s individual needs. Through this case study, I decided to find a solution for the pet parents providing them with an easy, stress-free way to find the perfect match for their pets.

Problem Definition

Pet parents aged 25–40 often struggle to find trustworthy, reliable pet care and rely on friends or family when traveling. Paw-Sitter addresses this by connecting them with verified sitters who provide regular updates and personalized care, ensuring pets’ routines and needs are met while easing owners’ worries.

  • 20% of pet parents had a hard time finding reliable pet-sitters or boarders for their pets.
  • 42% of pet parents left their pets with family or friends and didn't want to burden them with taking care of their pets.
  • 38% of pet parents found it difficult to plan vacations leaving their pets at home. Someone had to be home to take care of their pet's daily schedules.

Ideation

Paw-Sitter simplifies pet care by helping users find trusted, verified providers for services like boarding, walking, and training. Each listing includes clear details and reviews to ensure a perfect match for every pet’s needs.Regular updates keep owners informed, while the community page fosters connection and support among pet lovers.
